Pill bottles are a scam.
It seems as so to me, at least. I have traveled to many countries around the world. The medicines are usually "individually sealed," which in my opinion is a much better option. Why? Some business people somewhere in a high corporate office know that people are more likely to "spill" their medicine by dropping the bottles, and would need a replacement. They are banking on this to happen. With sealed-packaging, one mistake doesn't always cost a person many of their pills. Also, to mention, in my opinion it's easier to take sealed-packaging on-the-go. Maybe you're going to a friend's house, and you don't need the entire bottle; just two or three. Sealed packing often times allow you to "tear-off" how many exactly that you need. In the case that you have a "controlled-substance" and your provider won't allow a refill, that's also an unfortunate situation to find yourself in. It can be unsettling how even "micro-decisions" are made to draw more money out of consumers. With pill bottles, if there is an aluminum foil-lid on the top when you first open it (of course, not all even have this layer of securing), I tend to allow my finger or thumb to poke a tiny whole in it (not removing the entire sealing) so that if the bottle ever falls, not many pills will fall out.
