Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia starts with liver damage. Alcohol abuse is usually the problem here. Repair the liver whether it's cirrhosis, a tumor, etc. The damaged liver doesn't dispose of 'copper' correctly. The copper is then spread through-out the body cause of a build-up. This effects the brain and eyes among many other parts of the body and will cause hallucinations. The Heavy metal poisoning should be attended to. Chelation therapy is needed. Afterwards the eyes must be repared. Usually, copper poisoning can lead to 'cataracts' or 'Kayser-Fleischer eyes.' Surgically, repair this to prevent loss of vision. There are also blood andheart problems with schizophrenics usually due to a Vitamin K deficienty. Put the patient on Vitamin K and a low-copper diet for the time being.
Schizophrenia appears to be copper poisoning due to a damaged liver. The liver is the source of the problem. Somewhere on or around the liver is causing the organ to not dispose of copper in foods. There could be 'Cirrhosis of the liver' (scarring of the organ/ part of the organ not functioning), tumors, cysts, etc. Surgeon should search for mass. This damage leads to a 'build-up' of copper in the body when not disposed of correctly by the liver. The copper flows all-around the body especially the head and eyes causing hallucinations.
Surgery to heal the liver, or a liver transplant would be needed to repair the organ. It must process copper effectively to prevent the schizophrenia illness. A problem here is that all to often, abuse of alcohol is what leads to liver damage. In the event that the liver is irrevocable and the patient needs a transplant, medical professional will not allow this for alcoholics. Keep this in mind in case alcoholism was the cause.
The other step to curing Schizophrenia is ridding the body of the heavy metal poisoning, which in this case is the copper. Chelation therapy (medicine that binds to metals in the body like a magnet and flushes them out) is needed. This is a common way of cleansing the body of heavy medals. There are also other ways like dialysis. Consult your doctor for the best option. ~This is the primary way of stopping the hallucination the patient suffers from. It must be noted that as long as the liver is not disposing effectively of the copper, it will continue to toxify the body undoing a lot of the work of the chelator medications. Get the liver repaired as soon as possible. ~During this phase, a low-copper diet is optimal.
Often times schizophrenia affects the eyes like having Cataracts or Kayser-Fleischer eyes. This is in part due to the heavy metal poisoning that copper is. When the eyes are closely examined under a form of a scope, you may see copper-colored rings are the corneas. They could be brown, green, or yellowish among other colors. This is definitely a signs of the poisoning of the eyes and must be attended to immediately. If there are cataracts, it will be evident as well. There must be surgery on the eyes to prevent loss of vision from these two eye sicknesses.
Now we address the diet. Many schizophrenics have a "Vitamin K" deficiency. They must address this immediately. Green vegetation foods or Vitamin K supplements are crucial for these patients. Without Vitamin K, schizophrenics tend to developing heart problems like blood clots. Also, medicines that treat schizophrenia (anti-psychotics) can also create unhealthy fluctuations in the bloods. 'Deep-Vein Thrombosis' (DVT) and 'Pulmonary Embolisms' are very likely with Schizophrenia. Vitamin K helps protein C function which is essential and helps prevent these problems.
That's it! The patient should recover with theses steps. Be-gone hallucinations!
For a more in-depth look into Schizophrenia, it appears to be a misdiagnosis of 'Wilson's Disease.' Maybe this known rare disease is not so rare after all.
I'm praying and wishing for a speedy recovery to all Schizophrenia patients.
